9 years ago my MiniMe came kicking and screaming into this world!
She has always been such a firecracker. Even when I was pregnant with her, she was always extremely active and decided she wanted to debut early, at 20 weeks! Thankfully a trip to the ER, some meds, and strict bed rest for the next 16 weeks put a stop to that! She was born quickly within 2 hours of being induced and literally one minute of pushing. One push for her head, one for her body and she was here! It took the nurses 45 minutes to get her little id bracelet on her foot because she fraught them off so much. They all said they had never seen anything like her before (something I would hear many more times in the next 9 years).
She is my baby, my last, the completion of our family.
She is our clown, always wanting to make us laugh. A free spirit that has always marched to the beat of her own drum. I hope she always will. She thinks outside the box, and questions everything. Always the detective. She is so curious, especially about the world around her. Scientific experiments are regularly seen in our home. She is the most loving and compassionate child I have ever met. Always thinking of others, she is always wanting to help the homeless and the less fortunate. She has a heart of gold.
We have made so many great memories in these 9 years.
In 9 more years she will be an adult. I will always cherish our memories we have made. On our first trip to Disneyland she was just shy of 2 years old. We took her on the Pirates of the Caribbean, FanGirl LOOOOVED it, but my poor MiniMe was terrified. She thought they were shooting real cannons and guns at us! We didn’t go back on it the next 4 times we went to Disneyland, because she was so scared. Last year she decided to try it and said it was ok. But, on our latest trip over New Years of this year, she decided it was her favorite ride and we rode it a dozen times. She even used her vacation money to buy a treasure map and jewels in the pirates shop.
We are having her birthday party this weekend.
I am busily planning away. She wanted a Fallout 4/Pokemon themed party. It will be interesting for sure. She has made sketches for her cake, decorations, and party favors. We’ll see if I can live up to those sketches! I will be posting some DIY tutorials on some of the party favors I am making!
